Structural erection, underground piping and fire protection for Tokuyama Malaysia's plant at Samalaju, Bintulu.
Samalaju is a greenfield industrial development launched in 2008 in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE), on the South China Sea coast. Tokuyama Malaysia built its polycrystalline silicon plant there.
This was the longest-duration project YSSE has undertaken. Our scope covered structural erection, underground piping, fire protection systems, the fabrication and installation of trench covers, and the supply of skilled manpower.
The scale and complexity of the works called for close coordination and supervision. With experienced people and disciplined project management, the team worked through the challenges and completed the project to the required standards.
